Qnet Software, the programming and software development division of Qnet Group Ltd, is currently taking part in an initiative to become a Microsoft certified Gold partner. Through development of software and IT applications, which are later platform tested, points are gained which count towards becoming a Microsoft Partner.
One of the applications which Qnet Software have already developed and tested is their Fleet management software. Fleet Management is as the title suggests a software solution to many of the problems associated with running a number of business vehicles.
"Having any number of company vehicles can be difficult at the best of times" says Simon Scotchbrook Managing Director of Qnet Group Ltd. "so we wanted to develop a solution that would be useful not only to us but also everyone else in a similar position. There are so many considerations to take into account when dealing with vehicles and drivers and no two situations are hardly ever the same which can make keeping on top of everything a mammoth task. What we felt was needed was a solution which simplified and automated the majority of fleet concerned tasks and delivered all the information we needed in an efficient and effective manner. In Qnet's Fleet Management Software we feel we have achieved this."
Since its development Fleet Management has passed official Microsoft platform tests being conducted by Veritest, the testing service of Lionbridge Technologies. "This brings us one step closer to our goal of becoming an official Microsoft Gold Partner" says Simon "the whole process is a long and complicated one but we feel the rewards at the end are definitely worth it".
